I picked up a 1992 F-150 project truck and started messing with the instrument cluster. After spending way too long scraping the green film off the gauges, I moved on to the HVAC panel and completely wrecked it. That screw-up is what pushed me to start designing my own replacement panels — and I ended up selling the first few kits online.

I put off making full instrument cluster faceplates for years. I knew they had to be extremely accurate and fit perfectly, or it wasn’t worth doing. After selling just the HVAC panels for a couple of years, I finally decided to validate the idea. I posted some early cluster designs in a few Facebook groups and the response was insane — tons of interest and great feedback. I spent months working with 50+ local companies trying to find a partner who could help produce them, but quality, precision, and consistency were always lacking. That’s when it became clear I’d have to bring the process in-house if I wanted the kits to meet my standards.

It was time to decide – keep dabbling or invest in the equipment and space to bring the vision to life. I went all in. I bought the machines, set up the shop, and spent a ridiculous number of hours fighting through setbacks and bad test runs until we finally had a faceplate kit that met my standards. By late 2025 we were shipping most of our products into the U.S. When new tariffs hit and logistics got messy, we pivoted fast and started selling in bulk to a U.S.-based partner who now helps fulfill orders stateside. In our first year, we continue to refine our process and I’m proud of what our small team has built. Early in our journey we've developed some great relationships, and are overwhelmed with the positive messages from customers who genuinely love how their trucks look again.

Our goal for 2026 is to build a stronger foundation for the business. We’re focused on tightening up our internal systems and processes while expanding the Dash Skinz product line. That means developing new kits for 8th-gen and 10th-gen F-Series trucks, along with 2nd and 3rd gen Ram trucks, so more owners can bring their classic dashes back to life.
